The US shares an interest with Venezuela in maintaining energy supply

Caracas.- The Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, pointed out that his country supports “the democratic aspirations” of Venezuelans and a common interest in maintaining the energy supply in the world.

“We have a global interest in maintaining a constant supply of energy, including through our diplomatic efforts,” he added.

The Americans assured that they currently have “multiple interests with Venezuela” during statements on Wednesday.

“It includes ensuring the release of Americans who are unjustly detained,” and celebrated the release of Gustavo Cárdenas and Jorge Fernández, who were “unjustly” detained.

“All of these things apply when it comes to Venezuela, as well as other countries in the world where we have a multiplicity of interests and we use diplomacy to try to promote them,” he concluded.
