Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government is all set to honor Haryana Roadways bus driver Sushil Mann, who saved Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant in a car accident through his timely intervention. The Uttarakhand government has announced that Sushil Mann will be honored on this coming Republic Day.

On the morning of the 30th, the car driven by Pant met with an accident at Mangalauri on the Delhi-Dehradun highway in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The speeding car hit the divider and burned. Haryana Roadways bus driver Sushil Mann and conductor Paramjeet rescued Pant inside the burning car. When he was taken out of the car, there was blood all over the actor’s body. One of the bus passengers covered the ball with a cloth. Sushil then called an ambulance. The Mercedes Benz car in which the ball was being driven was completely burnt in the accident.

Currently, the actor is undergoing treatment at Max Hospital in Dehradun. Ball had two cuts on his forehead in the accident. The right knee ligament is also injured. Max Hospital in Dehradun said in a medical bulletin that he was also injured in his right wrist, ankle and toe. However, there were no serious injuries. He underwent plastic surgery on Saturday for a forehead injury. The star may be shifted to Delhi for specialist treatment.

Earlier, Sushil Kumar and Paramjeet were honored by the Uttarakhand Police. Cricketers including VVS Laxman also came to appreciate Sushil’s timely intervention.

The bus left Haridwar at 4.25 am. The car hit the divider regarding 100 meters away from the bus. The passengers were scared when the car came towards the bus. As soon as the car moved to the side, it hit the divider and overturned three or four times. I didn’t understand him because I don’t follow cricket. He was quickly taken out and placed on the divider. When he asked for water, he gave it. One of the passengers covered his body with a cloth and later informed the police,” said Sushil Mann.
