The Global Skills Asia Organization, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, continues to successfully organize the “Friendly Virtual Global Skills Challenge 2021”, which was launched on the fifth of last July, and will continue until the fifteenth of this August, through visual communication techniques, with the participation of 800 personalities representing 26 Asian and European countries, including 200 state representatives, 325 experts and referees, and 275 challengers competing in 20 specialized skills and future skills, including IT software solutions for business, corporate information systems security, industrial design technology, machine learning and huge databases, and the operation of aerial robots. without a pilot.
Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Global Skills Asia Organization and Director General of the Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, said that organizing this new challenge, in light of the challenges of Covid-19, comes within the framework of the organization’s board of directors’ keenness to play its pivotal role in developing specialized skills among Asian youth, and the industry of Asian cadres capable of continuing industrial and technological progress in all countries of the continent, pointing out that this challenge is witnessing the participation of thirteen member states of the organization, which reflects their keenness to participate in the distinguished activities of the organization, pointing out that this event is sponsored by Officials from government institutions and specialized international companies, namely the Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Emirates Skills and others.
Al Shamsi concluded his statement by saying: The organization – which is based in Abu Dhabi – works in accordance with the highest standards, laws and regulations in force in the World Skills Organization and the countries of the developed world, in order to ensure that Asian countries keep pace with all developments in the world in various skills, in addition to coordination With all concerned authorities, to provide and develop the necessary mechanisms to enable contestants to be creative in all disciplines, in a way that contributes to upgrading the creative capabilities of the youth of the UAE, the youth of the Asian continent and the participating friendly countries.
A forum for talents
Eng. Fehr Al-Suwaidi, CEO of the Global Skills Asia Organization, explained that the “Virtual Asia Skills Challenge 2021” is an important forum for Asian and international talents aged between 18 to 25 years, who are required to compete in different skills and exchange experiences between them, as Asian and world youth compete during This challenge in 13 advanced skills.
Also competing during the competition is the category of young people under the age of 18 in eight skills, including web design and development, graphic design, mechanical engineering (AutoCAD), 3D games, robotics, IT software solutions for business, and the operation of unmanned aerial robots. Pointing out that this challenge attracts member states, international partners in the industry, government agencies and educational institutions, for everyone to cooperate in order to encourage talent and spread global standards of skills and competencies according to international standards, in all countries of the Asian continent.
