The ‘teacher’, who suffers from diabetes, for which he lost a leg a few months ago, was rushed to the hospital where the doctors stabilized him, but he remains in intensive care.
A source close to the family of the former player of the Peruvian national team told that Chale received a visit from his grandson Alonso, who came from the United States precisely to see him.
This visit lifted the spirits of the ‘terrible ex-child’, yet he remains bedridden. For now the prognosis of the DT is also reserved.
INTERNED TWICE THIS YEAR
As recalled, this is the second time this year that the coach has been hospitalized. In January, Chale Olarte, 76, was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) because he decompensated following he underwent an operation.
Faced with this situation, the family of the former soccer player and coach asked to make a chain of prayers for him.
He is considered one of the most outstanding historical figures of Universitario de Deportes, a club with which he won the national title four times and was a finalist in the Copa Libertadores in 1972.
