There are reports of an assassination attempt on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad

There have been reports of an assassination attempt on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. According to information close to the Hezbollah group, unknown people tried to kill Assad on the way to the holiday prayer in Damascus.

The details of the assassination attempt were not reported, writes the Directorate 4 Telegram channel.

However, Bashar al-Assad was present at the prayer for the end of the month of Ramadan.

At the service itself, it was emphasized that this year Uraza Bayram (Eid al-Fitr) is taking place in the conditions of the activation of the Israeli security forces and the oppression of the inhabitants of Palestine.

It was also noted that Assad signed a decree on pardon and militants as a step towards reconciliation, consistent with the norms of Islam.
