Eric Kantor, managing director of Moelis & Company, said: Margin of the International Mining Conference, There is a clear consensus in the United States regarding abandoning fossil fuels and moving in the field of rare minerals following China limited its exports of these minerals.

He added that it is clear that critical minerals are an important part of the transformation of the energy sector, “there is a clear consensus in the United States regarding the importance of quitting fossil fuels and transforming the energy sector.”

He continued, “But let’s go back ten years when China decided to limit exports of rare metals, most notably rare earth minerals. There is no doubt that this was a warning to the United States.”

He explained that what happened following that was the intervention of the World Trade Organization to solve the problems between many countries, including the United States, Japan and China, and that was “in our interest, but this was a warning to America, which has since begun to move.”

He pointed out that his country has begun to feel progress, as there are many existing projects in the field of rare metals, but the road is still long for the United States.
