The ten most important car brands accounted for 65.6% of all new car registrations in 2022. This is reported by Statistics Austria in a broadcast. VW remained the market leader with a share of 14.9% ahead of Skoda (8.7%), BMW (7.6%), Audi (5.7%) and Mercedes (5.4%). Toyota (plus 45%), Kia (+5.4%) and BMW (+4.4%) recorded more new registrations compared to the previous year.
