They confirm the arrest of Douglas González in Puerto Píritu

The Venalum union leader traveled to the city of Caracas with a group of colleagues for labor claims.

The CVG Venalum worker, Douglas González, was arrested in Puerto Píritu, Anzoátegui state, on Monday night.

According to what was discussed with his legal representative, Jesús Aguilera, González was on his way to Caracas along with other colleagues, apparently to comply with union demands.

Although the hearing was postponed for Wednesday, August 3, at 10:00 in the morning, his lawyers are unaware of the charges once morest him as they do not have access to the file in the Seventh Court of Control.

González is recognized by his colleagues as a fighter for workers’ rights and in 2014-2015, he was president of the Electoral Commission of the CVG Venalum union.
