The images were recorded by renowned snake hunter Stuart McKenzie on a beach at Point Cartwright, in the town of Buddina.
The protagonist of the short, which was shared on social networks, is a copy of the eastern brown snake, feared for being highly poisonous.
In the images, the reptile is observed swimming with its head raised, just a few meters from a group of children who play in the water.
“What a good swimmer this great friend was!” McKenzie wrote alongside the video.

“We got a ton of calls about this snake and I wanted to thank everyone who was there for staying calm, distancing themselves and keeping dogs away from it as well,” added the expert.
This species only attacks when threatened. “It’s a matter of common sense. You just need to take a few steps back and nothing will happen,” he recommended.
