The Secretary of Public Education (SEP) announced that as of this Monday it opened Prepa Online-SEP, his third call of the year in benefit of 50 thousand applicants. It is a free educational option with official validity for those who have completed secondary education and wish to continue with their high school studies.
Through a statement, the agency reported that the National Online Baccalaureate Service, Prepa en Línea-SEP, opened the call for all those who wish to study or complete the upper secondary level virtually in the modality not in school.
How do I register?
The SEP explained that the interested parties must register their full name; Unique Population Registry Code (CURP) and two personal emails (main and alternate), at the following site: prepaenlinea.sep.gob.mx; the registration concludes upon reaching 50 thousand applicants and the deadline is Friday, August 6.
Prepa Online-SEP It is a free educational option with official validity. Upon completion of the study plan, graduates receive an electronic certificate with recognition of the National educative system, With which they will be able to study at a higher level, if they so wish, in any public or private institution, national or foreign.
The platform is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. “Thanks to this flexible schedule, this service adapts to different lifestyles, allowing students to combine studies with various work, sports, artistic, parenting or home care activities.”
The curriculum consists of 23 modules, which are attended one per month, and meets the purposes of the New Mexican School, since the digital educational resources and the teaching strategies implemented help students to use technology to develop skills, knowledge and aptitudes.
Prepa Online-SEP allows the formation of citizens with national identity, respect for human dignity, interculturality and nature, with the ability to face the challenges imposed by current times.
Thanks to the virtual modality, the program has national and international coverage for Mexicans residing abroad and who have internet access. At the same time, it offers a practical and comfortable way to study, since it is completed completely online, thus reducing time and avoiding travel expenses.
Applicants who comply with the registration process must take the preparatory module, which will be taught online from August 16 to September 12, 2021, where they will develop the basic technological skills necessary to manage the study platform and learn about the details of the educational model of Prepa en Línea-SEP.
The 24 thousand applicants who obtain the highest qualifications in the preparatory module, who have completed their registration and submitted their complete documentation, will be the ones who officially enroll in this service.
