The Public Force rescued the child Erick Matias Manosalvawho had been kidnapped two days ago when armed men entered the house where he was with his mother and took him away.
The one-year-old boy was rescued in Waiter, Césarthanks to the work of a team made up of the Police Gaula, the Air Force and the Army.
Erick Matias returned to freedom with a joint operation that took him by helicopter from the place where his kidnappers had him, regarding an hour and a half away from the place where he was abducted, until he was handed over to his family.
The minor had been kidnapped in the village of San Juan, jurisdiction of the municipality of La Gloriawhen armed men entered the house where the little boy was in the company of his mother.
Erick Matías belongs to a peasant family. At the time of the kidnapping, his father had left the house to do work in the fields, when the subjects entered the house, tied up the child’s mother and took the baby away.
The authorities are investigating whether there were threats once morest the minor’s family. President Gustavo Petro confirmed the news through his Twitter account, in which he shared a photograph of Erick Mathias while he was transferred by helicopter.
