The conditioning of the facilities has not been completed and the students will only go one day a week.
The Autonomous University of Baja California began with the teaching of classes in the old facilities of the Tijuana Government Center, located next to the Municipal Palace. Students from the first semesters go once a week to the new classrooms of what will be the School of Medicine.

According to the students themselves, the facilities have not been finished, refurbishment work is still being carried out inside the building, only the rooms located on the third floor are being used to teach classes, but it will have all the necessary equipment.
These changes benefit the students, such is the case of dentistry students, whose school was in Valle de Las Palmas, they will no longer have to go to the east of the city every day. They assure that it was a good decision to change the Government Center.
The new facilities will benefit students and teachers by having to go to take classes in a central place, however, it is expected that traffic congestion will increase in the area, in addition to the fact that the parking lot that corresponds to the building is taken by a group of people who defend the green areas of the place.
