This imaginary penalty awarded to Al Ahly in the African Champions League is controversial

In the quarter-finals of the African Champions League, the success (2-1) of Al Ahly over Raja Casablanca on Saturday was marked by strong controversy. Indeed, the Egyptian double title holders were well helped by the referee to take the lead: the Congolese Jean-Jacque Ndala designated the penalty spot for a non-existent hand in the surface following he had watched the action thanks to VAR.

Indeed, it was with the leg that a Moroccan defender repelled a cross, which did not prevent the referee from awarding a penalty. Amr El Solia converted the penalty (1-0, 13′), ten minutes before Hussein El Shahat doubled the score with a flat foot on a serve from South African Percy Tau (2-0, 23′). The reduction of the gap by Mohamed Zrida (2-1, 45th) left the Raja players alive despite being outnumbered during the last half hour.
