Thompson and Curry lead Warriors to victory over Lakers, 134-120

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Klay Thompson scored 27 points, Stephen Curry added 23 and the Golden State Warriors took advantage of Anthony Davis’ absence due to injury to beat the Los Angeles Lakers 134-120 on Tuesday.

Andrew Wiggins scored 17 points for the Warriors, tenth in the Western Conference, who made 26 of their 41 three-point attempts, including 16 of 23 by Curry, Thompson and Draymond Green.

In the first half, only Green made his five three-pointers. Golden State’s 26 three-pointers were the most allowed in a game by the Lakers.

The Warriors (44-35) have won eight of nine games in the final stretch of the campaign to get within half a game of the Lakers themselves, who are ninth (45-35).

Golden State has an advantage in the tiebreaker, head-to-head duels. Therefore, it would be local for a potential duel of ninth once morest tenth, next week in the playoff mini-tournament, if it takes advantage of its last three games of the regular season.
