The effects of the war in Ukraine have also spread to the region known as the Horn of Africa, according to CESVI, an Italian charity organization.
This organization expresses concern that more than two million people in Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia will face starvation. Apart from riots and the Covid-19 pandemic, the organization points to drought as the cause of this food shortage.
The Chesvi organization reveals that 940,000 children under the age of five in Kenya are severely malnourished.
