Afghanistan thrash Sri Lanka in Asian Games men’s cricket semi-finals. Afghanistan beat Sri Lanka by 8 runs to qualify for the semi-finals. Batting first, Afghanistan were all out for 116 runs but managed to bowl out Sri Lanka for 108 runs to win. India or Pakistan will be Afghanistan’s opponents in the semi-finals.
Nuwan Thushara’s 4-wicket performance crushed Afghanistan, who batted first. Noor Ali Zadran was the top scorer with 51 runs but this performance came off 52 balls. In reply, Sri Lanka was bowled out by captain Gulbadin Naib and Qais Ahmed who took 3 wickets each. Sri Lanka’s top scorer is captain Sahan Arachige who scored 22 runs.
India reached the semi-finals by defeating Nepal by 23 runs. Pakistan defeated Hong Kong by 68 runs.
