Thrissur became the organizing committee for the chess tournament organized on Che Guevara’s birthday under the auspices of the CO Paulus Master Memorial Study and Research Centre. The tournament will be held at Thrissur VKN Indoor Stadium on 18th. Anyone below 19 years of age can participate. CPI-M district secretary MM Varghese inaugurated the formation of the organizing committee which met at the Azhikodaan memorial building. UP Joseph, member of the district secretary, presided. Olympian NR Anilkumar, KK Ramachandran MLA, Xavier Chittilapilly MLA and VP Sarath Prasad spoke.
