Tokayev consulted with Putin on curbing unrest in Kazakhstan – Kazakhstan

Almaty – According to President Kassym-Shomart Tokayev, the situation in Kazakhstan is stabilizing once more following the unrest. The President’s Office in Moscow announced on Saturday that he had stated this in a long telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The two heads of state had also discussed steps to contain the unrest in the Central Asian country. During the night, the security forces cracked down on demonstrators once more.
