The Kaulitz twins, Bill and Tom, are preparing to take the helm of the iconic German TV show “Wetten, dass..?” but their pre-show arrangements haven’t been entirely smooth sailing. The duo, known for their luxurious lifestyle, have reportedly expressed some skepticism about the hotel accommodations available in Halle an der Saale, where they’ll be based for the show’s December 5th taping.
The brothers are set to officially succeed TV legend Thomas Gottschalk, who hosted “Wetten, dass..?” for 154 episodes. The upcoming show marks a significant return for the format after a decade-long hiatus, as reported by MSN. Bill Kaulitz voiced his concerns about the lodging situation in a recent episode of the twins’ podcast, “Kaulitz Hills – Senf aus Hollywood,” telling his brother Tom, “That with the sleeping arrangements, I’m still a little skeptical.”
Halle, a city of approximately 226,000 residents, doesn’t quite offer the same level of luxury as Hollywood, a point the twins seemingly acknowledged. However, the city does have a selection of hotels, including the City-Hotel am Wasserturm, the Hotel Dorint Charlottenhof Halle and the Dormero Hotel Halle.
An employee at the City-Hotel am Wasserturm addressed the situation, telling the Berliner KURIER that it could be considered a “luxury problem.” He noted that the hotel doesn’t have a dedicated wellness area and acknowledged that the Kaulitz twins might have higher expectations. He similarly emphasized the hotel’s quiet, central location and privacy.
The city of Halle appears to be taking the situation in stride. Mark Lange, the city’s marketing chief, playfully offered to accommodate the twins in his guest room, complete with a pool and sauna, should they struggle to find suitable lodging, according to C21media. The twins have even reached out to their audience in Halle via their podcast, requesting photos of apartments in the area.
The Kaulitz twins’ hosting duties on “Wetten, dass..?” are set to premiere on December 5th, marking a new chapter for the long-running show. The brothers, who rose to fame as members of the band Tokio Hotel, are embracing this new challenge, with Tom Kaulitz describing it as a “dream coming true,” as reported by MSN.
As the premiere date approaches, all eyes are on Halle to spot how the city will accommodate the international stars and ensure a smooth and successful launch for the revived “Wetten, dass..?” The show’s return is generating significant buzz, and the Kaulitz twins are poised to bring a fresh energy to the beloved format.
