Top 14: ASM misses the end of the match and leaves Bayonne empty-handed

by Alexandra Hartman Editor-in-Chief

ASM Clermont may have regrets in leaving Bayonne without taking any pointsthis Saturday February 17, 2024. Despite great domination almost the entire match, Clermont let the match slip away in the final minutes.

However, everything started well with a try from Thomas Rozière (8th minute) on a magnificent inspiration from Benjamin Urdapilleta and his original flat foot. With great territorial domination and a very strong defense, the ASM will especially have lack of effectiveness to kill the match.

Daniel Bibi Biziwu’s foul and yellow card were also costly in the final moments. Like a bench which will not have brought the breath and intensity hoped for. Between individual errors and lack of precision close to the lines, the ASM might achieve much better results in Bayonne.
