Tennis Star Coco Gauff has played in numerous world-renowned tennis tournaments. But the Cincinnati Open has a special place in the young player’s heart.

Gauff gushed over the renovations made to the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, and she showed love for her Queen City fans, in an interview with the Tennis Channel following her second-round win against China’s Xinyu Wang at the 2025 tournament.

“For me, it’s been great. The fan excitement is always the same,” Gauff told reporter and former professional tennis player Prakash Amritraj.

“I’ve stayed after practice like 40 minutes signing autographs just because of how thoughtful the fans are here,” the 21-year-old continued.

Gauff went on to add that the upgrades to the Cincinnati Open facilities, particularly the newly renovated locker rooms, are “great.”

“To see this kind of investment in tennis, especially American tennis in the states, is really cool,” Gauff said.

She also stated the unlimited food, especially the free acai bowls and smoothies, has been the her “highlight of the week” so far.

Gauff takes on Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska during the Cincinnati Open’s round of 32 on Aug. 12. Gauff previously won the Cincinnati Open title for women’s singles in 2023.
