The QS World University Rankings, which place greater emphasis on reputation and internationalization, also highlighted the success of Swiss institutions. ETH Zurich climbed to 7th place, achieving an impressive 99.7 in ‘Academic Reputation’ and a 96.7 overall. EPFL secured 22nd position, with a score of 92.7 for ‘Academic Reputation’ and 90.2 overall.A notable gap remains between these technical institutes and other Swiss universities, with the University of Zurich (100th), Geneva (155th), Basel (158th), Bern (184th), and Lausanne (212th) all ranking lower.
