Torpedoing of Credit Suisse: is it the fault of social networks?

Did social media precipitate Credit Suisse’s downfall? Are they even partly responsible? Sunday evening, during the presentation of the bank’s liquidation plan, its president, Axel Lehmann, pointed the finger at online platforms. According to several experts in the field, Twitter and company indeed played a role in the fall of Credit Suisse. But the latter should have done more to try to extinguish the fire.
