Position Details
The Device Software Engineer (Android) position falls within the Device Team, which consists of Hardware/Firmware Engineers and Industrial Designers. This team is responsible for the critical development and production of payment terminals, which are pivotal to the emerging offline payment industry.
The Device Team works collaboratively across multiple departments. Key collaborators include Android/Server Developers, Business Development Managers, Operation Managers, and Quality Control Engineers.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Analyzing market needs, customers, and business partners to identify product concepts.
- Participating in the manufacturing process from planning and development to production and post-launch support.
- Identifying and resolving issues that could impede product success.
- Developing software elements and technical assets essential for business growth.
- Collaborating with external partners including software developers, designers, and quality controllers to ensure product success.
- Analyzing mass production processes or market quality issues and responding promptly to address root causes.
- Designing and developing a stable payment system that avoids failures.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must:
- Have experience developing Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
- Possess a strong understanding of Android Framework development and AOSP architecture.
- Be able to identify and propose solutions that improve user experience across all layers, from Kernel to HAL, Android Framework, and Application.
- Have experience in SW structure design tailored for both development and mass production.
- Have a background in native services in C and C++ languages.
