Toulouse: Zack Holmes suspended for four weeks – Fil Info – European Cups

The opening half of Toulouse Zack Holmes was suspended four weeks by the EPCR after his red card during the European rugby cup match against Connacht, announced the governing body on Wednesday. The Australian (29, 45 caps) was expelled in the 73rd minute of the match, won against the Irish province (21-7), last Saturday, for having “dangerously tackled the back of Connacht Tiernan O ‘Halloran’, explained the European Professional Club Rugby. He was heard by the Disciplinary Committee of the EPCR, which therefore suspended him until February 17. He will therefore miss the European Cup matches, ahead of Gloucester on Sunday, in the championship, against Bordeaux-Bègles on 26 and Racing 92 on 15, but also in Super Sevens on 1 February.
