Bombardments continue in the Donbass and on the towns near the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant
Russian artillery fire once more hit areas on the right bank of the Dnieper, just opposite the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant. Several strikes in the night from Saturday to Sunday deprived several districts of Nikopol of electricity, said Valentyn Reznitchenko, governor of the Dnipropetrovsk oblast. Rocket fire also damaged a dozen residences in Marhanets, according to Ievhen Yevtouchenko, the head of Nikopol’s military administration.
The city of Zaporizhia, regarding 40 kilometers north of the nuclear power plant (located in the town of Enerhodar), also came under fire during the night, injuring two people, said one of the city council members and mayor acting, Anatolii Kurtiev.
In eastern Ukraine, where Russian and separatist forces are still trying to take control of Donetsk Oblast, shelling hit the major cities of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk, but no casualties were reported, said Pavlo Kyrylenko, governor of the oblast.
