The verdict of the case opposing the public prosecutor to the leaders of the National Front for the Defense of the Constitution (FNDC) fell this Tuesday, June 13, 2023 before the court of Dixinn, relocated to the Court of Appeal of Conakry. Oumar Sylla, also known as Foniké Menguè, Ibrahima Diallo and Saikou Yaya Barry, were acquitted.
The national coordinator of the FNDC, Oumar Sylla alias Foniké Menguè, Ibrahima Diallo, head of operations of the Front, as well as Saikou Yaya Barry of the UFR, currently abroad for health reasons, were declared not guilty of the charges of criminal participation in a prohibited gathering, obstruction of freedom of movement, destruction of private and public buildings, as well as assault and battery.
In its deliberation, Kabinet Djènè Keïta also referred the public prosecutor and the civil party to do better.
