Trader Joe’s Recalls Almond and Dark Chocolate Almond Chunk Windmill Cookies Due to Rock Contamination

Cookies from the American company Trader Joe’s are subject to a recall following rocks were found in recipes that usually contain chocolate chips and almonds.

“If you purchased Almond and/or Dark Chocolate Almond Chunk Windmill Cookies, please do not eat them. We urge you to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund,” the company insisted in a statement Friday, reported by several US media.

It would thus seem that rocks have slipped into the cookie dough of the two recipes, for the batches of cookies which will expire between October 17 and 21, 2023.

This is not the first time that the company’s products have been recalled: earlier this year, in March, it had to recall frozen fruits sold in a few Costco stores in our southern neighbors, which were possibly contaminated with hepatitis A, NBC News reported.
