A car accident in Bahía Honda has preliminarily left 28 people injured, some of whom are in critical condition.

Those involved in this tragic incident are young UJC militants who were returning from volunteer work in the sugarcane areas of the Harlem Company. Although the causes of the accident are not yet officially known, authorities are investigating thoroughly to clarify the details.

Bahía Honda medical services are caring for the injured while the need to transfer them to other institutions is determined.

According to Maylen Martinez, secretary of the UJC, the majority of those affected are in good health.

However, two were transferred to the Comandante Pinares General Teaching Hospital and the National Hospital due to the severity of their injuries.

Maylen Martinez expressed his gratitude for the prompt attention provided by all Party authorities, the government of Bahia, and especially for the support of Public Health in this difficult situation.
