A serious traffic accident occurred at 17:30 on the followingnoon of Monday May 2024 on Ionia Odos at the height of Loutro Amfilochia on the branch to Antirrio.
The driver of an ICHE car lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the parapet, which drifted for 10 meters.
The vehicle was seriously damaged but the 4 occupants, a couple with two 14-15 year old children (probably a family), were not seriously injured. At the scene the traffic police of the 2nd Department of Motorways and a crane to remove the vehicle without interrupting the traffic which is currently increased.
The cause of the accident remains unknown and under investigation by the competent authorities. The incident highlights the importance of caution and adherence to road safety rules to prevent similar incidents in the future.
