For several days, two young men have been missing who had celebrated on Lord’s Day in a district of Zehdenick. Apparently they also went swimming in the lake. Now the police have recovered one of the men dead.
One of the two missing young men from Oberhavel was found dead in the Großer Wentowsee near Zehdenick. “Apparently it is one of the two missing,” said a police spokesman on Wednesday. Further details were not given.
Last Thursday, two 21-year-olds celebrated with friends in Zabelsdorf, a district of the town of Zehdenick. The police suspect that they then went into the lake on Friday night. At the weekend, the region on the lake in northern Brandenburg had already been searched with drones, helicopters and divers. Family and friends also started searches. Around 150 volunteers were also involved.
Water detection dogs were also used to search for the two men on Tuesday. The search, which lasted around six hours, was unsuccessful, although the dogs struck.
The police had previously found the jacket and fanny pack of a missing person at Großer Wentowsee.
