An accident at the intersection of Bulevar Turístico and Calle Domingo Maiz, in (), left two dead and at least 33 people injured. It is regarding the overturning of a bus of the tourist transport company “Suero”.

deceased people are Karla Rodriguez Dionisio 40 years old and from Peru, while the other person is an Argentine, identified as Valeri Brodeli 34 years old.

It is known that the Peruvian was traveling with her husband and 9-year-old daughter and both were injured.

At the moment, the family requests the support of the embassies to repatriate the bodies to their corresponding countries.

For his part, the president of the Peruvian Congress, José Williams, reported that the Peruvian embassy in the Dominican Republic is informed of the event and the Consulate is with the injured Peruvians.

The nationalities of the injured tourists are Argentine, Colombian, Peruvian, Brazilian and Chilean.

Pronouncement of the Foreign Ministry

The Foreign Ministry of Peru, through a lamented the death of Karla Rodríguez and reported that the son and husband of the deceased are under observation at a medical center in the city of Bávaro, Punta Cana.
