The driver, Julian Kettel, a young 24-year-old father from Chenois (Virton), collided head-on with a tree which runs along this long straight line. The circumstances of the accident have yet to be determined. The firefighters called to the scene were unfortunately unable to do anything to save him.
He worked on the family farm: the Bampont farm which overlooks the village of Chenois. This is also where he lived. The young father was passionate regarding nature. The agricultural world, the forest: it was his life, his passion.
