Due to the shock, the 43-year-old driver was ejected. An ambulance and an emergency medical team rushed to the scene. The victim was revived on the spot before being transferred to Jessa Hospital in Hasselt in critical condition. She succumbed to her injuries.
An investigation into the causes of this serious accident is underway.
Affected by this sudden death, several of the victim’s colleagues, attached to the Landen depot, were unable to return to work. Several lines (21a, 23a, 38 and 346) experienced disruptions.
