The Liège public prosecutor’s office was informed this Sunday that a serious accident had occurred, in Chaudfontaine, route de l’Ardenne (Embourg).
In the course of the followingnoon indeed, a lady, aged 79, was hit while she was crossing a pedestrian crossing. The driver of the vehicle, aged 78, the only one involved, would not have seen the victim. Rescuers quickly arrived on the spot but, despite their intervention, the septuagenarian succumbed to her injuries shortly followingwards.
The prosecution sent an expert on site to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
