Tragic death: 23-year-old dies in an accident with a small truck in 5 minutes

The 23-year-old from the Voitsberg district drove around 3:10 p.m. with a small truck on the Schilcherweinstraße L314 coming from Ligist in the direction of Stainz. At the same time, an articulated vehicle, driven by a 29-year-old from the Voitsberg district, drove in the opposite direction.

Got too far into the oncoming lane

In the area of the 4.2 km road, the 23-year-old apparently came too far into the oncoming lane, causing a head-on collision between the two vehicles. The small truck was thrown to the side and remained on the embankment in the direction of Stainz. The 23-year-old driver suffered fatal injuries as a result of the impact. The driver of the semi-trailer was taken to the UKH Graz with minor injuries.
