A fourth Canadian woman has died, her family confirmed to the Toronto Star.
Shir Georgy, 22, was detained by Hamas while taking part in the music festival near Gaza last Saturday.
This announcement comes as Hamas claims to have executed nine hostages in Israeli raids in the past 24 hours.
Israeli authorities confirmed to Romen, the young woman’s father, that the DNA sample he provided matched human remains recovered from Kibbutz Be’eri where Gregory and others had taken refuge.
Shir Gregory’s father also went to the military morgue near Tel Aviv to confirm the identity of his daughter.
