Tragic Death of High School Teacher in Yongin: Understanding Stress & Mental Health

It turns out that a high school teacher in Yongin made an extreme choice.

According to the police on the 3rd, at 10:35 am on the same day, teacher A (60s) was found dead at the entrance of a hiking trail in Unjung-dong, Bundang-gu.

The police, who received a report from a family member saying that they might not reach teacher A, found teacher A while tracing teacher A’s movement route through tracking teacher A’s mobile phone.

Teacher A was working at a high school in Yongin and was reported to have been under severe stress due to recent parental complaints.

A suicide note was also found at the scene, but the exact contents are not known.

A police official said, “So far, no criminal charges have been identified,” and “we cannot confirm the details.”
