Tragic Death of Malayali Worker in Riyadh: Crude Oil Tank Explosion at Yamama Company

Riyadh: A Malayali died in Riyadh following a crude oil tank exploded. Parakkat Philip George (56), a native of Mankankuzhi, Alappuzha, died tragically following an accident at work. The accident occurred on Thursday at the Yamama Company in Musahmia, 70 km from Riyadh.

As part of sealing the leak, he was cleaning a crude oil tank brought from Aramco company and while sitting on top of it and welding, the tank exploded and he was thrown upwards.

His body, which had fallen to the top of the building, was brought out by the police. He has a wife and two children. The body has been kept at Musahmia Hospital Mortuary. Company officials, social and volunteer workers are on hand to complete the process.
