An evening reportedly took a tragic turn for a four-year-old child, who died following drowning in a residential swimming pool on Saturday evening.
Around 9:30 p.m., the authorities were alerted via 911 that a child had fallen into a swimming pool, in the La Haute-Saint-Charles sector in Quebec.
Upon arrival at the scene, the police carried out resuscitation maneuvers before bringing him quickly to a hospital center, with the help of the Sûreté du Québec.
Sadly, his death was pronounced in hospital.
At the time of this writing, investigators from the Major Crimes Unit as well as technicians from the Forensic Identification Unit are on hand to try to clarify the circumstances and piece together the timeline of events.
