It was a little following 12 p.m. that around ten firefighters intervened in Dieppe in Seine-Maritime. A participant in the first bath of the year was in respiratory distress. Resuscitation attempts were unfortunately unsuccessful and the 30-year-old suffered cardiorespiratory arrest.
According to our colleagues from Paris-Normandy, the other participants in this first swim of the year tried to help the swimmer but the sea was rough and these attempts at help were not sufficient.
