Kasaragod: A former panchayat member and his wife were found dead in a pond. N. Krishnan Naik (84) and his wife Aithamma Bhai (80) of Panathadi Neelchal were found dead in a pond near their house. The incident took place on Saturday around 6 pm.
They were found dead in the pool during a search following they were not found at home. Krishnan Naik also served as President of Ranipuram Forest Protection Committee and President of Peruthadi Mahadeva Temple Children: Surendran Naik, Janu Naik, Janaki, Yashodha, Ratna, Madhavi, Babu (Housing Board employee) and Jayarajan (Kototh Govt. Higher Secondary School teacher). Nephews: Janaki, Vijayan, Balan, Kutty Naik, Damodharan, Kamalam, Prema and Ramya.
