A teenager lost his life on Monday evening while riding a motocross in Val-d’Or.
According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the teenager tried to cross Route 117, before being hit by a vehicle traveling at the same time, around 8:15 p.m.
“He was transported to the hospital center where unfortunately his death was declared, said the spokesperson for the SQ, Catherine Bernard. Two people were in the vehicle. They suffered a nervous shock. However, they refused transport to the hospital centre.
A collision investigation specialist from the SQ went to the scene to try to establish the cause and the circumstances of the accident.
