A road accident occurred early Wednesday followingnoon in the entity of Péruwelz, in the province of Hainaut. The driver of a car was killed instantly.
In the other vehicle, the driver was injured and hospitalized.
The Picardy Wallonia emergency services were alerted on Wednesday, shortly following 1:30 p.m., that a serious traffic accident had occurred at the Barrière de Bury crossroads in Bury, in the entity of Péruwelz. Two extrication vehicles, a truck for marking, two ambulances and a SMUR were dispatched to the scene.
Despite the care provided by emergency doctors, the driver of one of the two vehicles died on the spot. The other driver was injured and admitted to the Epicura hospital center in Ath. An expert from the Tournai-Mons public prosecutor’s office was notified and went to the scene of the accident.
