A dramatic road accident took place during the night from Saturday to Sunday near the Hensies border post, in the Belgium-France direction. A French motorist lost control of his car.
Two people were in the car. One, aged 31, lost his life despite the rapid intervention of the emergency services of Belgium and France. The other person was slightly injured, almost a miracle considering the violence of the impact. The car’s engine was thrown from the car.
Firefighters from the Quiévrain barracks intervened to ensure markings and logistics. A tanker truck arrived at the scene of the tragedy.
