Train-Induced Electrical Outage Disrupts Rail Traffic at Friborg Station: Updates and Delays

2024-01-19 20:09:29

An electrical outage caused by a train at Friborg station disrupted rail traffic on Friday from 4:30 p.m. However, the situation returned to normal around 7:00 p.m. and power was restored.

However, delays must still be expected, said the CFF spokesperson. Replacement buses have been put in place on the lines between Bern and Fribourg, Romont and Guin and between Friborg and Givisiez.

Many trains ran via Biel to avoid Friborg station.

The train which caused the electrical outage was able to leave, the spokesperson added. According to him, technicians will repair the problem tonight.
