Chelsea’s Italian Davide Zappacosta, already loaned to AS Roma for one season, will repeat this experience at another Italian club, Genoa, the London club announced on Saturday. The 28-year-old right-back saw his season with the Roman club marred by a rupture of a cruciate ligament. He played only eight games in the jersey of the Louve, including six after his convalescence.
The Genoa club also formalized the arrival, still on loan, of the Croatian Marko Pjaca, owned by Juventus. The Croatian international winger, who has been on loan since 2016 (Schalke, Fiorentina, Anderlecht …), has never confirmed his hopes. He will try to do so with the Genoa, who narrowly escaped relegation this summer, finishing in 17th place, the first above the red zone.
