An earthquake of 6.8 degrees on the Richter scale occurred at 1:12 a.m. on Wednesday, February 16, and was sensitive in most of the national territory, as well as in Mexico and El Salvador.
According to data from the National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (Conred), due to the earthquake one person died, one injured and more than 24,790 affected.
During this day, more than 60 followingshocks have been reported according to the Guatemalan Seismological Service (SSG), of the Mariano Gálvez University.
