In the Antipode room, on Friday May 13, a musical creation (carried by the National Theater of Brittany) will pay tribute to a voice rooted in Brittany: Yann-Fañch Kemener. She will cross paths with the smuggler of gwerziou, soniou and Kan Ha Diskan, who disappeared too early on March 16, 2019 at the age of 61.

As a true ethnologist, the Armorican interpreter drew his inspiration from the rich heritage of Breton music transmitted orally. Breton poet, he was a singer, a collector, a Breton transmitter. “Yann-Fañch Kemener He was originally from Sainte-Tréfine in central Brittany, which he often placed in a humorous way as the center of the world. Throughout his career, he has taken the culture of Lower Brittany, of which he has become an ambassador, around the world,” explains one of the project leaders, Clément Le Goff.

Please note that the Antipode room does not have a car park, let alone a nearby metro station. Subscriber price: €13. Price — Presale: €15. Price on site: €20. L’Antipode, Parvis Agnès Varda, 75 avenue Jules Maniez, 35000 Rennes. For everything reservation.
