A truck driver died on Sunday morning in Zeebrugge. The 39-year-old man from Tajikistan was found under his truck. The circumstances of his death are not known at this stage, indicates the prosecutor’s office of West Flanders, Bruges section.
The driver’s body was lying under his vehicle parked in a parking lot along the Kiwiweg, in the port area. Emergency services rushed to the scene but were unable to rescue the victim. It is probably an accident, but the prosecution is considering all leads.
